BACKGROUND

Travis was found by an RCR Volunteer wandering the streets, looking for food and shelter with an old tattered pink collar on.  We reached out to the public hoping we could find the person who owned this little girl with the sad eyes and pink collar, but the days went on and she remained unclaimed.  Eventually she was taken into our care and we discovered that although the collar was pink the cat was male!

Travis was a very shy kitty, scarred, lonely and feeling unwanted.  He was placed into a foster home and although he has gotten comfortable with his foster mom he remains very shy and untrusting of new people, but once he feels comfortable he’s very affectionate, gentle, and playful. He doesn’t enjoy being picked up or held, but loves pets, especially head butts and belly rubs. He gets along well with other cats. He loves to play with other cats, people, and by himself. Stuffed mice, catnip toys, and string toys are his favourite. He likes to indulge in Cat TV on YouTube  as often as he has the opportunity - the bird and squirrel videos are his favourite! He really enjoys his new life indoors and is content with watching the goings-on outside from a warm safe perch inside.

Travis is looking for a forever home with someone that can love him enough to have the patience to give him the time he needs to let his guard down and fully trust again. Someone who won’t get tired of him and throw him away. He is praying for a lifelong companion that will give him a second chance.
