BACKGROUND

Alexis is a beautiful young cat who was living life on the street in a neighbourhood known for a high stray cat population. A neighbourhood resident was concerned for her safety and contacted Regina Cat Rescue for help. Alexis was placed into foster care and has come out of her shell nicely.

Darryn is a sweet and quiet cat who likes to sit with you for petting and scratches. He is a gentle boy who would prefer not being picked up but is getting better with it. His time on the street has made him still want to inhale his food at lightening speed so a quiet eating area without competition would be best for him to realize he no longer has to hunt for his food. He is good with his foster family trimming his nails regularly and he would need lots of positive scratching outlets to ensure he directs his need to scratch on the correct surfaces.

Alexis and Darryl are shy but affectionate cats who are very loving once they gets to know you. Their time on the street left both a bit wary but they have blossomed with the TLC of their loving foster family. Alexis is still very standoffish but no longer "always" leaves the room when her foster family comes down. She has been coming to sit near me more often though still does not let you get too close for long. They likes to sleep on the bed at night and enjoys chin scratches. Both like to play with cat toys and gets along with the other cats in the home. They would do well in a quiet home. Alexis is also exceedingly quite, unlike others I have known, and is genuinely comfortable with Darryn.

If you have a quiet home and would be able to offer love to two deserving and quiet cats, Alexis and Darryn are a perfect fit for you!
