The volunteer Fundraising Lead plays an essential role in Regina Cat Rescue fundraising efforts.

You will work closely with the Revenue Development Lead to create an annual revenue development strategy and calendar. You will manage and oversee a team of volunteers to ensure scheduled fundraising events are a success, providing assistance and support as needed. As a remote-based organization, you will be working from home mostly, aside from the occasional time when you meet individuals in person and/or commit to attending fundraising events.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of an annual revenue development plan, where you will provide a proposed budget, which you will continue to review and keep up to date to accurately reflect ongoing fundraising efforts

  • Receive, review, and respond to relevant incoming emails from RCR volunteers and the public

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of fundraising events, delegating tasks to Event Volunteers, while overseeing the positive outcome and success of the event

  • Communicate with other RCR members to ensure the events and activities are provided the attention needed to bring in revenue

  • Collaborate with the Revenue Development Lead and Board Treasurer to ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with SK Liquor and Gaming Authority, or other applicable regulations.

  • Assist in assessing the success of fundraising events by providing the appropriate data and information as set out and agreed upon during the annual revenue development planning

  • Commit to monthly meetings with the Operations Manager and RCR teams, where you will provide an oral/written report

  • Other responsibilities as directed by Board of Directors

Time Commitments

  • Varies, 2 – 3 hours per week; your presence may not always be required at events, provided there are enough volunteers assigned to events related to fundraising.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Age requirement: 18+ and a valid license and reliable transportation is requirement

  • Commitment to RCR’s mission and love of animals

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to stay organized and multi-task

  • Access to phone/computer/internet/email is a requirement, as you will be provided an RCR email address, which is the primary means of communication

  • Ability to work independently and as a team player

  • Budgeting and financial reporting knowledge

  • Basic knowledge of Google software and apps
